Important Deadlines

    The Euclid Mission Meeting is held in Bologna (Italy) the 7-8 September, 2011 at CNR Area della Ricerca CNR, Bologna, via P. Gobetti 101 (see map).

  • By train: Bologna is the main Italian railway junction; therefore, there are connections to all major national and international lines. Timetables can be found at the Ferrovie dello Stato homepage.
  • By air: Many European airlines now fly regularly into Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport.
    Buses and taxis provide easy connections to the city centre. The airport bus BLQ Aerobus starts at 06:00 and stops at 23.40, and leaves every 30 minutes for the city centre. Tickets can be purchased on the bus. Then take 87 bus.
  • By car: All motorway exits for Bologna lead to a ring road Tangenziale from which all destinations are easily reached. The exit off the Tangenziale to the Conference Centre is no. 5 (Bologna Quartiere Lame). To enter the Tangenziale please remember that if you are coming from the North, the direction is S. Lazzaro , whilst from the South it is Borgo Panigale. At the Conference site, a large parking area is available at no cost. Enquire at the Research Area gatehouse for instructions.

    Bus Shuttle Service

    For all participants a free bus shuttle service is reserved. The bus shuttle stop are located along Via Indipendenza, in Montagnola Park and in Via Stalingrado (AC Hotel). The  time table of the bus shuttle can be found here.

    Public Bus Service

    The public bus number 87 is available, and it connects the centre of Bologna to CNR (rotunda CNR) and back. The bus timetable can be found here. Taxis are also widely available. The charge from the city centre to CNR should be around 10 euros.

    Conference Language

    The working language for the Conference is English and English will be used for all presentation and printed materials.

    Electronics presentations

    Two laptops, one running windows PC and one running MAC-OS will be available for the projections. Speakers are asked to bring their presentations, preferentially in .ppt or.pdf format and preferentially on a USB pen, to the conference secretary desk their session BEFORE the beginning each the session. Private laptops or slides/overhead transparencies will not be allowed.

    Posters

    Poster will be allocated 1.5 m high by 1 m wide panel space. Suitable material will be delivered to fix the poster to the panel. Poster panels will be numbered. Authors are kindly requested to look for their appropriate poster panel numbered in accordance with the Program. Posters will remain on display for the entire duration of the Conference.

    Registration Fee

  • Within 25 August 2011 - 100 Euros
  • After that date or onsite - 120 Euros
  • Conference dinner - 50 Euros

    The fee includes: coffee breaks, lunches, conference bag and conference material.

    Registration Desk

    Conference secretariat will be open at the Conference Center, CNR Campus Area, every day from 7 Sept. 2011 to 8 Sept. 2011, from 08:15 to the end of the Sessions . Telephone messages can be delivered at the numbers +39 349 8326879. All messages will be posted on the message board close to the Conference desk. Participants may refer to this service for any communications with delegates.

    Social Program

    Wednesday 7 September 2011

    The conference dinner will take place in Bologna center at Palazzo Isolani (How to reach the Palazzo Isolani). It is recommended to bring with you the invitation already in your possession. You will be asked for at the entrance of the social dinner. The dinner ticket for accompanying persons costs 50 Euros and it has to be purchased at the registration desk before the 7 September 2011 at 12am.
